Hey, goblins and ghouls! My name is Don and I am the artist behind THE 199X. I'm a former Tattoo Artist and a huge fan of all things silly and whimsy, hence why I decided to start combining all the things I love and share it with the world!
If you're even more curious about me and my existence, here are a few fun facts:
- Cambodian and proud! Both my parents are survivors of the Khmer Rouge, and they've always inspired me to chase my dreams no matter what. Did they expect their child to end up selling goofy art on tees and other material? No. Are they proud of me? Not sure. But I'm grateful for them nonetheless.
- Queer and loving it. Hate it? Go away, your business is not wanted here anyway.
- Happily married to the most amazing woman EVER and we have 6 beautiful fur babies (5 cats and a dog). They're all rescues!
- I was born in the late 1900's, which can be reflected in the style of the designs I create.
- I enjoy doing hip-hop dance classes in my free time. Am I any good? Subjective.
- Aliens exist.
- I would like to see what's behind Antarctica's Ice Walls one day.
- I'm a Libra if that matters.
- Sometimes I'll go outside and talk to the trees.
- Big Justin Bieber fan.
- I for some reason can't stop playing multiple run-throughs of Baldur's Gate 3.
